SchoolDoc Pro collects the following information to provide and improve our document management services:
- Document Metadata: All 48 fields you enter (Document IDs, titles, descriptions, dates, departments, student names, etc.)
- User Information: Email addresses of users who access the system
- Usage Data: Document counts, access logs, and system usage statistics
- Authentication Data: Session tokens and login timestamps
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the document management service
- To authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
- To generate analytics and reports about your document collection
- To improve system performance and user experience
- To communicate important updates or support information
3. Data Storage and Security
All your data is stored in your own Google Sheets and Google Drive. SchoolDoc Pro does not store any document content on our own servers. We use Google's industry-standard security infrastructure to protect your information.
- Session tokens expire after 8 hours
- All communication is encrypted via HTTPS
- Passwords are stored securely in Google Script Properties
4. Third-Party Services
SchoolDoc Pro integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Workspace (formerly G Suite): Authentication, Google Sheets storage, Google Drive file storage
- Google Apps Script: Backend processing and API handling

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:

SchoolDoc Pro is designed with student privacy in mind. Features include:
- Confidentiality level tracking (Public, Internal, Confidential, Restricted, FERPA Protected)
- Access permissions at the document level
- Audit logs of system access
- Data remains under the school's control in their Google Workspace environment
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access all data stored in your Google Sheets
- Export your data at any time
- Delete documents or entire collections
- Request information about your stored data

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
